Erik J. “Odin” Cathcart has been making art since he was in grade school. His sincere interest in professional painting began in high school under the tutelage of his mentor William Yager.

He attended Rochester Institute of Technology for a BFA in painting/illustration and later went on to get his MFA from SUNY New Paltz. His work focuses on the intersection of nature and humankind, and the tensions between beauty and destruction.
